Beaumaris Probus
There's a lot happening every month at Beaumaris Probus
We are an active and friendly club founded in 1987. We currently have some 120 members. We are a men’s club, but apart from the monthly meeting, wives, partners, and friends are an integral part of our social events.
We meet on the third Tuesday each month (except December) at the Black Rock Yacht Club from 10.00am to 12 noon. Most members stay for lunch
Our members come from a variety of backgrounds – professional, business, and technical trades – and our wide-ranging activities mean there is something of interest for all. Nothing is compulsory and you’ll find we are non-political, non-sectarian and non-fundraising.
We meet to expand our interests and to enjoy the company of others.
Monthly Meetings
We meet from 10am -12.00 noon every third tuesday.
First, we have a general session where our members are updated on activities etc.
This is followed by a brief 10-minute talk from one of our members. It’s amazing what an interesting group of members we have.
After a tea/coffee the President introduces our guest speaker. We pride ourselves on the consistently high standard of our guest speakers.
Most members stay for a hearty lunch and to catch up with old and new friends.
Our President is responsible for the selection of our keynote speakers.
The standard is outstanding and subject matter covers every topic imaginable. There is something for everybody.
We video most speakers and we suggest you take a look.

Earlier videos are available still on DVD, assuming you can still play DVD’s!
You can’t fail to be impressed by the quality of our speakers.
Club Activities
Our Club has many Interest groups and also many other activities such as regular outings to places of interest, restaurant evenings, lunches, annual sporting events such as golf, bowls and croquet. We have two major club functions, our Presidents Christmas Lunch and Mid-Year Candlelight Dinner. In the past we have organised overseas trips to places as far afield as Russia or Sri Lanka.
